PENSACOLA, Fla. – In the most recent national ranking poll for SCOREBOARD powered by Clippd the UWF men's golf team received the No. 1 ranking in NCAA Division II.

The Argos won three straight tournaments to open the spring portion of their season. The team picked up wins at the Matlock Collegiate, Las Vegas Desert Classic and Southeastern Collegiate. In their last tournament UWF placed fifth in the Bobcat Invitational that was shortened due to weather.

The No. 1 Argos will stay in Pensacola for their next competition as they host the Argonaut Invitational on Monday and Tuesday at Pensacola Country Club. It will be the last regular season tournament before heading to the Gulf South Conference championship on April 20.

Three UWF golfers are ranked in the top 20 in individual national rankings. Cooper Tendick is ranked No. 13, Per Ekelund is No. 18 and TJ Thompson is No. 19.

UWF was also ranked first in the Bushnell/Golfweek DII Coaches Poll.
