BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Tucker Ricks was named the Gulf South Conference Baseball Freshman of the Week, presented by Athletic Solutions, for his performance during the week of March 23-29.

Ricks earned his third GSC Freshman of the Week award after tossing seven strikeouts in a seven-inning performance against AUM. As a result, the rookie right-hander improved to 5-1 on the year. Ricks, who faced 24 batters, surrendered just one walk, one run and three hits in the outing, while finishing with a .130 opponent batting average and a 1.29 ERA. 

West Florida will host Lee University this weekend at Jim Spooner Field, beginning with a single game on Friday at 5 p.m.
