2011: Saw action in 28 games as the Argonauts’ backup catcher... hit .240 with five doubles, one triple and one home run... scored 13 runs and drove in six... finished with a .424 on-base percentage and a .440 slugging percentage... hit 3-4 with a home run, two doubles, three runs and three RBIs vs. Flagler (2/12).
2010: (South Alabama) Played in 13 games, five of which he started ... finished the year batting .200 (3-15) with three runs and two RBIs ... threw out three of 10 runners attempting to steal.
2009: (South Alabama) Saw action in 12 games, four of which were starts ... finished the year with two hits in 18 at bats ... also made an appearance on the mound against Southeastern Louisiana, striking out two batters in a scoreless seventh inning before running into trouble with three runs allowed in the eighth (3/25).
2008: (South Alabama) Appeared in 14 games and made five starts behind the plate ... hit .208 (5-24) with two doubles and a home run.
High School: Lettered four years at Pace High School ... played catcher and also saw time at first base, third base and pitcher ... led Pace to a state championship in 2006 and a runner-up finish his senior season in 2007.
Personal: Son of D.J. and Kelly Hammac ... has one brother, D.J. junior ... his father played baseball at South Alabama and his brother at Faulkner State Community College ... majoring in Exercise Science.
