Brasil and Peyrot split opening day at USTA/ITA National Small College Championships on Thursday

West Florida men’s tennis top doubles team to play for fifth place on Friday

RESULTS
 
SUMTER, S.C. – The University of West Florida men's tennis top doubles team of senior Kenny Brasil and junior Alex Peyrot split the opening day of the men's doubles competition at the 2015 USTA/ITA National Small College Championships.
 
The No. 3-seeded UWF men's doubles team fell to Drury University's Kay Bartman and Maximilian Hepp 6-2, 6-7, 10-12 in the opening round. Brasil and Peyrot would go on to defeat Lewis University's Mate Srdanovic and Alan Braschinsky 2-6, 6-2, 11-9 in the consolation round later on Thursday.
 
The duo will face West Liberty University's Andrew Ponder and Santiago Gutierrez in the men's doubles fifth place match on Friday, October 16 at 1 p.m. ET.

The USTA/ITA National Small College Championships are comprised of the eight regional champions (and/or at-large selections) from NCAA Divisions II and III, NAIA and Junior/Community Colleges.
