No. 1 UWF men's tennis defeats NAIA No. 3 AUM 5-4

West Florida men’s tennis opens 2015 season with a road win against Auburn Montgomery

MONTGOMERY, Ala. –
The No. 1-ranked University of West Florida men's tennis team opened up the 2015 season by defeating NAIA No. 3-ranked Auburn Montgomery 5-4 on the road Friday afternoon.
 
UWF senior Elio Latella (Sydney, Australia) and junior Warren Kuhn (Johannesburg, South Africa) won 8-4 at number one doubles while junior Pablo Borrero (Pereira, Colombia) and fellow junior Pablo Tellez (Bogota, Columbia Colegio) won at number three doubles 8-2.
 
No. 8 Peyrot defeated NAIA No. 6 Nicolas Pinones-Haltenhoff 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 at number one singles while No. 30 Brasil won 5-7, 6-2, 6-2 at number two singles.
 
Borrero defeated NAIA No. 18 Birkir Gunnarsson 4-6, 6-1, 6-2 at number three singles.
 
West Florida will next face Gulf South Conference opponent North Alabama in the team's home opener on Sunday, February 15 at 10 a.m. CT.
