Sebastian Rondon Earns ITA Senior Player of the Year Honors

TEMPE, Ariz. - West Florida senior Sebastian Rondon has been named the Intercollegiate Tennis Association National Senior Player of the Year, the association announced Tuesday.

Rondon has established himself as one of the top singles and doubles players in Division II tennis over the past two seasons. Playing at court one throughout the 2026 season, he posted a 26-3 singles record while adding a 23-2 doubles mark alongside GSC Player of the Year Diego Duran.

In the April 29 ITA rankings, Rondon was listed as the No. 1 singles player in the country and was part of the nation's No. 1 doubles pair with Duran. His success at the top of the lineup helped lead the Argonauts to the NCAA Semifinals after capturing both the Gulf South Conference championship and South Region title.

Rondon and Duran also earned one of the top individual doubles honors in Division II during the fall, winning the ITA Cup Doubles Championship.

An All-GSC First Team selection and the ITA South Region Senior Player of the Year, Rondon has been a key piece of one of the most successful seasons in program history.
