PENSACOLA, Fla. – The No. 1-ranked University of West Florida men's tennis team defeated No. 20 Georgia College 6-3 home on Wednesday afternoon. West Florida (11-2, 4-0 GSC) has now won 53 consecutive home matches against Division-II opponents.

Kenny Brasil (Apucarana, Brazil) and sophomore
Alex Peyrot (Castelnaudary, France) defeated the No. 21-ranked doubles team of Vincent Castermans and Yannick Hass 8-5 at number one doubles to extend their winning streak to 12.
Junior
Pablo Borrero (Pereira, Colombia) and sophomore
Pablo Tellez (Bogota, Columbia/Colegio) won at number two doubles 8-4 and extend their winning streak to nine while junior
Valentim Goncalves (Curitiba, Brazil) and sophomore
Carlos Moura (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) fell at number three doubles 9-8.
No. 8 Peyrot defeated No. 22 Yannick Hass 4-6, 7-6, 12-10 at number one singles and improves to 1-1 against nationally ranked opponents on the year.
No. 30 Brasil won at number two singles by a score of 6-3, 6-2 while Latella fell at number three singles 6-3, 5-7, 10-4.
Borrero won 6-3, 6-2 at number four singles while sophomore
Douglas Boe (Vinhedo, Brazil) fell at number five singles 3-6, 6-3, 10-4.
Redshirt freshman
Sebastian Sanchez (Bogota, Colombia) won at number six singles 6-3, 6-1.
West Florida will net play host to No. 23 West Alabama on Tuesday, March 24 at 1 p.m. CT before facing Alabama Huntsville on Thursday, March 26 at 10 a.m. CT. UWF will then host No. 18 BYU-Hawaii on Friday, March 27 at 12:30 p.m. CT before facing No. 32 Florida Southern on Saturday, March 28 at 9 a.m. CT.
