UWF women's tennis comes in at No. 8 in latest ITA national rankings

West Florida women’s tennis drops to No. 8 in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association national rankings

SKILLMAN, N.J. –
The University of West Florida women's tennis team dropped one spot to No. 8 in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association national rankings after starting the season 12-2. West Florida is currently unbeaten in matches against teams in the south region and has a 5-2 record against nationally ranked opponents. UWF's only losses have come to current No. 1 Armstrong State and No. 7 Hawaii Pacific.
 
Senior Monika Kochanova (Bratislava, Slovakia) comes in at No. 18 in the national singles rankings after starting the season 8-4 with a 2-2 record against nationally ranked opponents. Kochanova and fellow senior Laure-Eline Faure (Toulouse, France) are ranked No. 16 in the national doubles rankings after starting the season 10-4 with a 2-1 record against regionally ranked opponents.
 
West Florida will next face Alabama Huntsville on Thursday, March 26 at 1 p.m. CT before facing No. 4 BYU-Hawaii on Friday, March 27 at 12:30 p.m. CT. UWF will then face No. 45 Florida Southern on Saturday, March 28 at 9 a.m. CT before facing West Georgia later that day at Noon. West Florida will wrap up the weekend by facing Delta State on Sunday, March 29 at 9 a.m. CT before facing Christian Brothers later that day at 1 p.m. CT.
