No. 2 West Florida men's tennis earns two GSC wins on Sunday

Argonauts defeat Gulf South Conference opponents Delta State 6-0 and Christian Brothers 8-1

PENSACOLA, Fla. –
The No. 2-ranked University of West Florida men's tennis team earned a pair of wins over Gulf South Conference opponents on Sunday. West Florida (18-1, 8-0 GSC) defeated Delta State 6-0 before defeating Christian Brothers 8-1.
 
No. 2 West Florida 6, Delta State 0
 
West Florida's No. 1-ranked doubles team of senior Elio Latella (Sydney, Australia) and junior Warren Kuhn (Johannesburg, South Africa) won at number one doubles 8-5 while junior Kenny Brasil (Apucarana, Brazil) and sophomore Alex Peyrot (Castelnaudary, France) won 8-3 at number two doubles.
 
Junior Pablo Borrero (Pereira, Colombia) and sophomore Pablo Tellez (Bogota, Columbia/Colegio) won 8-1 at number three doubles.
 
No. 9 Peyrot won 6-0, 6-3 at number two singles while junior Juan Pablo Boada (La Paz, Bolivia) won 6-2, 6-0 at number five singles. Redshirt freshman Sebastian Sanchez (Bogota, Colombia) won 6-0, 6-0 at number six singles.

Redshirt freshman Antony Simakov (Bradenton, Fla.) and senior Ture Skinner (Saint Michael, Barbados) won 8-0 at number two doubles while juniors Richard Hornby (Christchurch, New Zealand) and Tom Dynka (Kitchener, Ontario) won at number three doubles 8-0.
 
Borrero won 6-0, 6-0 at number ones singles while sophomore Douglas Boe (Vinhedo, Brazil) won 6-1, 6-2 at number two singles. Sophomore Pablo Tellez (Bogota, Columbia) won 6-1, 6-2 at number three singles while Dynka won at number four singles 6-0, 6-0.
 
Hornby won 6-0, 6-1 at number five singles while Skinner won at number six singles 6-0, 6-0.
 
West Florida will next face No. 1 Hawaii Pacific on Wednesday, April 1 at 1 p.m. CT before facing No. 6 Concordia (N.Y.) on Thursday, April 2 at 1:30 p.m. CT. UWF will then face Mississippi College on Saturday, April 4 at 9 a.m. CT before facing Georgia Gwinnett at 3 p.m. CT later that day
