GREENWOOD, Ind. – University of West Florida women's tennis senior Fernanda Amaral was one of 10 student-athletes named to the Capital One Academic All-District® women's at-large team, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
 
Amaral earns the award for the second year in a row as a business management major with a 3.96 grade point average.
 
The senior posted a 17-5 record at number five singles this season with a 1-1 record against regionally ranked opponents. Amaral also compiled a 22-3 record at number two doubles this season and ended the season on an 11-match winning streak.
 
First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the Capital One Academic All-America® Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.
