• West Alabama looks for its third-straight GSC Championship, while UWF looks for its 10th-ever GSC crown.
• UWF will make its ninth GSC Tournament Final appearance in the last 11 years on Sunday against UWA.
• UWA has reached the GSC Tournament Final four times in its five-year existance.
TOURNAMENT FINAL HISTORY
• UWF is making its 13th overall GSC Tournament Final appearance, and is 9-3 when playing in the championship-deciding match. UWF has won the tournament in 1998, 2001, 2003, 2006-10 and 2013.
• West Florida has outscored its opponents 25-8 in its 12 GSC Tournament Final appearances.
ARGOS CLIP HAWKS
• UWF used a 37th minute

• The Argonauts posted its sixth shutout of the season and held Shorter to just four shots on goal in the contest.
SUCCESS ALL AROUND
• In addition to the men's soccer team shooting for its 10th GSC title, the women's team will also be playing for its 10th GSC title when playing Mississippi College on Sunday.
• UWF's men's and women's teams have won the GSC Championship in the same year on five occasions (2006, 2008-10, 2013).
CAN'T BE STOPPED
•
Kameron Bethell has registered at least one point in each of his last seven matches, and became the first UWF player to accomplish the feat since Daniel Martini did so in 2010.
• Should Bethell finish the season as the conference's assist leader, Bethell would be the first UWF player since Frank Cope in 2010 to lead the GSC in helpers. Cope posted 10 for UWF back in 2010.
• UWF is 6-1 in games which Bethell has recorded an assist, and 8-1-1 in games which he has recorded a point.
• Bethell's eight assists are the most by an Argonaut since Fernando Silveira recorded nine in 2013.
• Bethell, a 2016 All-GSC First Team selection, is one of just five 2016 GSC Preseason selections who went on to earn All-GSC honors, and one of just three to be named to the First Team.
• With a pair of assists in the first round against Alabama Huntsville,
Kameron Bethell took over as the GSC's assists leader with eight on the season.
DEPTH UP FRONT
•
Chandler Castleman,
Kameron Bethell and
Erick Rivera are eighth, ninth, and 10th, respectively, in the GSC's point leaders. UWF is the only school in the conference with three players inside the top 10 in points.
• UWF has five players with double-digit point totals on the year (Castleman, Bethell, Rivera, Urbancic, Gillies) and it is the first time UWF has had five players with 10+ points since the team had six in 2013.
FRESHMAN KEEPER
• In his first collegiate season, goalkeeper
Phil D'Amico entered the UWF record books after securing his fifth clean sheet of the year against Shorter -- good for the sixth most ever in a single season at UWF.

• Fall sports at UWF traditionally have a strong presence in the GSC Tournament, as the women's soccer team recently secured its 21st consecutive tournament berth while the volleyball team is closing in on clinching its 14th straight appearance (does not include 2004 season shortened by Hurricane Ivan).
• With Christian Brothers not making the tournament for the first time in 12 years in 2016, UWF's streak of 11 GSC Tournament appearances in a row is the longest active streak in the conference.
• West Florida's nine GSC Championships and 12 GSC Tournament Final appearances is the most amongst all current and previous GSC members.

#250
•
Bill Elliott claimed his 250th career win as the men's soccer coach at UWF on Oct. 27, as the team took down Auburn-Montgomery 5-0.
• Elliott's 250th victory makes him the first coach of a Gulf South Conference school to reach the milestone, and he leads all other GSC coaches by at least 129 overall victories. Elliott stands in the top 20 in Division II history in winning percentage (.662 entering the season), and total wins (267), when combined with his record at Tennessee Wesleyan in the 1993 and 1994 seasons. Elliott is just the 16th coach in DII history to reach the 250-win milestone. He also ranks third in GSC history in winning percentage.
• UWF's first-round win over Alabama Huntsville was Elliott's 350th career win at UWF when including his 98 career wins with the women's team from 1995-2001.
BETHELL, KUHNE NAMED ALL-GSC
• Sophomore midfielder
Kameron Bethell and senior defender
Allan Kuhne became the 87th and 88th players in program history to earn All-GSC honors on Monday.
• Kuhne manned a backline that allowed 1.53 goals per game in the regular season, and played every minute of action in GSC play. Kuhne provided an offensive presence as well, being the team's point-person on throw-ins near the net to set up numerous goals throughout the year. Kuhne recorded his one assist of the year in the season opener against Tampa, and played a key part in five shutouts.
BEAT IT
• UWF currently rides an nine-game unbeaten streak, which is currently tied for longest unbeaten streak in the South Region with No. 5 Lynn.
• The streak stands as the longest for UWF since 2007 when the Argos posted a program-best 18-game winning streak.
