BOX SCORE VALDOSTA, Ga. – The No. 4-ranked University of West Florida men's tennis team defeated the No. 6-ranked Lynn University Fighting Knights 6-3 on a neutral court in Valdosta, Georgia on Saturday. West Florida (7-0, 4-0 GSC) earned its fourth win over a nationally ranked opponent this season.
The No. 5-ranked doubles team of senior
Kenny Brasil (Apucarana, Brazil) and junior
Alex Peyrot (Castelnaudary, France) improved to 7-0 on the year with an 8-3 win over Daniel Riggs and Pavel Mojha at number one doubles.
Senior
Pablo Borrero (Pereira, Colombia) and junior
Pablo Tellez (Bogota, Columbia) defeated Jose Porfirio and Danyang Xu 9-7 in the duos first match of the season at number three doubles. Borrero and Tellez went 22-7 as a doubles team during the 2015 season.

Juan Pablo Boada (La Paz, Bolivia) and junior
Pedro Roese (Novo Hamburgo, Brazil) fell to 5-2 on the year with a 5-8 loss to Mehdi Laalej and Ethan Itzkovitz at number two doubles.
No. 11 Peyrot improved to 5-0 on the year with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Riggs at number one singles.
Sanchez improved to 5-1 on the year by defeating Itzkovitz 5-7, 6-4, 10-7 at number four singles while Borrero notched his fourth win of the season with a 7-5, 6-1 over Porfirio at number five singles.
Douglas Boe (Vinhedo, Brazil) remains unbeaten on the year with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Xu at number six singles.
No. 22 Brasil fell to 1-1 against nationally ranked opponents with a 3-6, 3-6 loss to No. 46 Mojha at number two singles while Boada dropped his first match of the season with a 1-6, 2-6 loss to Laalej at number three singles.
West Florida will next face No. 37 Florida Tech on Sunday, February 28 at 8 a.m. on a neutral court in Valdosta, Georgia.
