PENSACOLA, Fla. – Don't tell the No. 1 ranked UWF men's tennis team that regular-season titles don't matter. The Argonauts celebrated their sixth-consecutive Gulf South Conference regular-season championship following a pair of dominating wins over Delta State and Christian Brothers on Saturday.

UWF (21-1, 9-0) started the day with a solid 8-1 win over the Statesmen before a truly dominating performance in a 9-0 win over CBU in the afternoon.

The Argonauts were able to play 11 student-athletes, which saw all 12 singles matches decided in straight sets. In the victory over the Bucs, Douglas Boe, Pedro Roese, Sebastian Sanchez and Pablo Tellez all won their contests in perfect, 6-0, 6-0 fashion.

Not only has UWF won the last six regular-season titles, it has done so with a streak of 52-straight league victories.

UWF will be off next week before closing the regular-season with a pair of non-conference matches, hosting Columbus State on Thursday, April 13 and Xavier of Louisiana on Saturday, April 15.
