PENSACOLA, Fla. – The No. 1 ranked UWF men's tennis team was not challenged in a 5-0 win over Benedict in the NCAA South Region I First Round match at the Ralph "Skeeter" Carson Tennis Complex Saturday.

UWF (27-1) won its 21st-consecutive match and will face No. 9 Lynn in the regional final on Sunday at 9:00 a.m.

The Argonauts applied pressure early with a pair of quick 8-0 doubles wins. At No. 2,
Gabriel Dias and
Pedro Roese scored the first point before the No. 3 duo of
Warren Kuhn and
Pablo Tellez added a point minutes later. The nation's top-ranked pairing of
Alex Peyrot and
Pedro Dumont made it a clean sweep with a 8-4 win.

"The guys were really focused today and didn't take this match lightly," UWF head coach
Derrick Racine said. "They are as motivated as any group I've had since I've been at UWF."

In singles play,
Sebastian Sanchez improved to 16-0 on the year with a dominating 6-0, 6-0 contest at No. 6, before
Serdar Bojadjiev closed it out with a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 3.

The shutout marked the 18th of the season and fourth-straight for the Argos.
