PENSACOLA, Fla. – The No. 1 ranked UWF men's tennis team earned five singles victories to defeat Ouachita Baptist, 5-0, at the Ralph "Skeeter" Carson Tennis Complex Tuesday.
The match actually began on Sunday but was halted with the Argonauts leading the Tigers 4-0 when heavy rains forced the postponement.
At the time of the delay, UWF had secured straight-set wins by
Serdar Bojadjiev at No. 1,
Juan Cabrera at No. 3,
Juan Motta at No. 4 and
Robin Rafaitin at No. 5.
On Tuesday,
Lucas Sanchez closed out his opponent – Dan Kaplun – with a 6-4, 6-4 outcome to clinch the match.
UWF improved to 11-2 on the season and will continue play at home on Wednesday morning against Georgia College. The match will get underway at 9:30 a.m.
