Bring on the Warhawks
* Auburn Montgomery enters the weekend at 22-12 overall with a 13-11 Gulf South Conference, which would put the team in eighth place in the league standings if the Warhawks were eligible for postseason play. The GSC season has been a bit of a mixed bag for AUM, with a sweep over Shorter and a 2-1 series win at Lee at the end of March, but the Warhawks have also dropped 2 of 3 at Montevallo and been swept by Valdosta State.
* Pitching has been the hallmark for Auburn Montgomery, with Michaelyn Foster and Chanel Newcomer each recording ERAs under 2.00. Foster has a 1.70 in 53.2 innings, with 34 strikeouts and a 6-1 record, while Newcomer's 1.83 ERA has come over 99.2 innings in the circle. Opponents have hit just .187 against her.
* Last year marked the first meeting between UWF and AUM, with the Warhawks taking both games of a doubleheader over the Argos.
The Last Few Weeks
* UWF is 13-5 over its last 18 games, dating back to the Union series on March 3. During that time, the Argonauts have hit .335, slugged .515 and averaged nearly seven runs per game.

Kathleen Smiley has been one of UWF's most powerful weapons in the last 18 games, hitting a team-high .469 and leading West Florida in slugging (.750) and on-base percentage (.600).
Callan Taylor and
Grace Gilbert have each hit .400 over the last 18 games, with Taylor's 19 RBIs and 13 walks putting her at the top of the UWF leaderboard.
*
Jibrasha Moore has stolen 12 bases in that stretch, and
Tiona Hill has led the team with 21 hits and 4 home runs.
Down the Stretch
* West Florida will wrap up the final month of the GSC regular season with Auburn Montgomery, Montevallo, and Valdosta State, which have combined for a 43-27 record in conference play and a 77-31 overall mark. The Argonauts will also host Spring Hill and visit Florida Southern in Tallahassee for a neutral-site game during April.
* The Argonauts were outstanding in April 2016 and 2017, going a combined 27-8.
Rachel Wright has hit .369 in April in her two years, with eight doubles, six home runs and 34 RBIs. Likewise,
Sarah Maloney has thrown extremely well in April over the last two seasons, pitching 42.2 innings and posting a 2.32 ERA with 32 strikeouts.
The Month of March
* The West Florida offense came alive in March, hitting .352 and averaging 7.1 runs per game on the way to a 12-4 record.
* Four Argos hit .400 or better in March, with
Kathleen Smiley leading the team in batting (.484) and on-base percentage (.590). She tallied four doubles and a home run, while
