No.4 West Florida Wins Again with One More Road Match This Weekend

Argo travel to Rome, GA. next to play Shorter

CLEVELAND, Tenn.-  The No. 4 UWF Men's Tennis (4-0, 3-0) outplayed the Lee Flames (3-1, 0-1) 4-1 at AUM's Gulf South Conference opener at Lee's Tennis Complex.

Both the men's and women's teams had limited courts this morning, which led them to not play the doubles round as planned.

The order of finish for the match was singles (1,2,3,4,6) and the No.5 game with Robin Rafaitin was left unfinished because the No.6 game clinched the match when freshman Pedro Cordeiro defeated Bruno Medeiros 6-0, 6-0.

No.8 Serdar Bojadjiev played the No.1 game and made quick work, 6-1, 6-4 of his opponent from Lee and then in the No.4 singles game, Juan Motta had a rough start to the game and then regained his confidence and won 7-6, 6-2.

The team will be finishing up their weekend travel series with a quick drive to Shorter University in Rome, GA. for their match up with the Hawks at 9:00 A.M. The Hawks are 0-2 in conference while the Argos will come into the GSC match 3-0 in conference.
