PENSACOLA, Fla. – The No. 9 UWF men's tennis team defeated Delta State today allowing them to score no points winning 7-0.
In doubles, the Argos started off on top winning the doubles point. Serdar Bojadjiev and Vitinho Galvao won over Emile Le Terrier and Trey Seymour at the one spot 6-1.
Pedro Cordeiro and Robin Rafaitin won against Leo De Sousa and Timo Schmitz 6-2 leaving the third spot held by partners Juan Cabrera and Lucas Sanchez to go unfinished.
Now up 1-0, the Argos went into singles and continued to win. Nationally ranked No. 8 Bojadjiev and Cordeiro were the first two to finish. Bojadjiev won 6-1, 6-4, while Cordeiro won 6-2, 6-4.
Following them was  Sanchez who clinched the match with his win over Mason Vice 1-6, 6-2, 6-1. Nationally ranked No. 35 Juan Motta finished next with a win over Leo De Sousa 7-5, 6-2.
As they continued to play out the match, the last two to finish was Cabrera at the number two position winning 7-5, 6-3 and Rafaitin winning 5-7, 6-4, 1-0. Overall the No. 4 Argos won 7-0 over Delta State. The Argonauts are now 15-5 on the season and 7-1 in the GSC.
