The Argos knew going into todays match that they have lost to the Blazers already once this season and were prepared for a fight.

In doubles, UWF fought for the doubles point with partners Lucas Sanchez and Juan Cabrera finishing first defeating Pineda and Cizek 6-3. Valdosta was not going to give in easily as Serdar Bojadjiev and Vitinho Galvao lost at the one spot 6-4. Pedro Cordeiro and Robin Rafaitin were last to finish battling against Mas and Simbozel, but were unable to come out on top. VSU took the doubles point with a final win at number two 6-4.

VSU went into singles with a 1-0 lead. Robin Rafaitin was first to win his singles match against Xavier Pineda in straight sets 6-3, 6-2 and tieing the match 1-1. Following him was Pedro Cordeiro defeating Robert Cizek 6-1, 6-2 giving UWF the lead 2-1 over the Blazers.

From there, Valdosta took over the match. Lucas Sanchez then fell to Yohan Nguyen 6-4, 7-5 followed by Juan Cabrera going to three sets with Florian Simbozel but losing 6-2, 3-6, 6-0.

Valdosta took the lead 3-2 and with only two more matches playing, it was going to come down to Juan Motta or Serdar Bojadjiev. Bojadjiev's match was the clinching match for the Blazers and he falls to Jordi Mas in two competitive and well played sets 7-6, 7-6.

There was a lot of tennis played over the three days and the Argos have shown their strength and will continue their season in the NCAA Tournament.

UWF will now wait to see where they will be seeded in the upcoming NCAA Division II Men's Tennis Championship. The selection show will be aired by the NCAA on Tuesday, May 7th at 7:00 pm CT on ncaa.com. Regional play will begin Saturday, May 11th.
