UWF In Third At Copperhead Championship

The Argonauts are 11 shots off the lead

PALM HARBOR, Fla.
- The No. 4 UWF men's golf team is in third place after two rounds in the Copperhead Championship, played at the Innisbrook Resort Copperhead Course.

The Argonauts shot rounds of 290 and 292 for a 14-over-par 582 score. That is 11 shot off the lead of 571 by Saint Leo. Lynn is in second at 574.

Individually, UWF has three players in the top 18 of the 90-player field.

Elias Haavisto is tied for fourth at 70-71=141, 1-under-par after making two birdies in each round Monday.

Cameron Bonner had five total birdies and is tied for 12th at 73-72=145. Felipe Garzon is the third top-18 Argo, sitting in 18th place at 72-74=146.

Nicolas Rubio signed for a 77 and 76, and Chris Ayers had a 75 and 79 in his first action as an Argo.

Hayes Durant is competing as an individual this week and posted rounds of 81 and 77.

UWF will be paired with Saint Leo and Lynn in Tuesday's final round, beginning on holes 1-3 when the shotgun start occurs at 8:15 a.m. Eastern Time.
