DAVIE, Fla. – The second-ranked UWF men's golf team rebounded from a tough morning round to shoot an 8-under-par 276 in the afternoon and climb into fourth place after the first day of the Shark Invitational at Grande Oaks Golf Club Monday.

UWF is tied with Keiser at 571. Barry leads the field at 11-under-par 557 with Lynn five shots back at 562. Florida Southern is in third at 570.

Individually, three Argonauts are in the top 15, led by
Elias Haavisto. He is tied for 15th at 74-68=142.

Carlos Marrero and
Felipe Garces are both tied for 20th at 143. Marrero posted an 11-stroke difference in his two rounds, slicing his 77 into a career-low 66. Garces went from a 77 to a 68 on the day. Both players had six birdies in their afternoon rounds, while Marrero's 10 birdies led the field after 36 holes.

Patrick Poate is tied for 40th at 73-74=147 and
Cameron Bonner is a shot back at 73-75=148 in 42nd position.

UWF is paired with Kaiser and Nova Southeastern in Tuesday's final round. Their groups will be off No. 1 beginning at 8:27 a.m. Eastern Time.
