A Look Back
In a 2-1 game involving penalty kicks from each team, the Argos were able to conclude in 90 minutes to uplift UWF to the semifinals.

In the second half, the Argos committed a foul in the box and the Wolves were called for a handball in the box within three minutes of each other to each get a goal on the board off penalty kicks. Blair Cowan was creating action in the box to earn a handball – Cowan found the back of the net for the game-winner to score her 19th goal of the season.

As two goals were scored in the second half, the lone first half goal in the 20th minute was the start to give UWF momentum early in the match. It took two passes the began from the back line starting with Bailey Erwig to reach Brianna Pope at half, and finish with a Kileigh Whited goal. The 60-yard run to connect with Pope was Whited's second goal of the season.

Scouting the Lee Flames
Lee University entered the GSC Championships as the 5-seed with a 11-2-5 overall record. The Flames got their revenge against the Montevallo in a 3-2 win in the quarterfinals after losing to the Falcons in regular season.

Tatum Miller recorded a two-goal game to score her fourth and fifth goals of the season. Miller got on the board first for Lee in the 15th minute. Just minutes before the finalizing the first half, Montevallo found the back of the net to even the score but the lead went back to the Flames two just minutes after a Kassidy Kellett goal from Ellie Crisler.

Entering the last 45 minutes, Miller scored her second goal of the evening to help the Flames advance to the semifinals.

Argo and Lee National Poll Comparison
The Argos entered the GSC Championships with a United Soccer Coaches ranking at No. 8. Since Oct. 4, they have been ranked top-25 in the national polls working their way from No. 25 to a now No. 7 ranking – highest this season – after defeating West Georgia.

After the first releasing of national polls Sep. 6, the Lee Flames were placed No. 9 and stayed in the top-25 rankings for six consecutive weeks. The Flames have lost their placing in the top-25 after losing to Montevallo followed by a tie against Alabama Montgomery.

Argo vs. Flame History
The last time the Argos met was just shy of four weeks ago in a top-25 showdown in regular season. Manami Okada scored the game-winner goal off a corner kick from Ahnalie Layman to give the Flames their first loss of the season. This was the first Argo win over the Flames since 2018.

The Argos have a 5-6-2 history record and the Flames have a slight 13-12 goal scored advantage over the course of 13 games played against each other starting in 2013.
