West Florida Earns Fourth Seed in South Regional

This makes the Argos 25th consecutive appearance

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The ninth-ranked UWF men's tennis team earned a berth in the 2022 NCAA Division II Tennis Championship South Regionals, as announced by the organization Tuesday night. UWF is the No. 4 seed and will play preliminary round matches at Barry in Miami Shores, Florida.

UWF will open NCAA play against No. 5 seed Valdosta State in the first-round match on Monday, May 9 at 10:00 a.m. (ET). No. 1 Barry and No. 8 Benedict will play the other first round match at 1:00 p.m. (ET). The winners of the two matches will face each other on Tuesday, May 10 at 10:00 a.m. (ET). 

The Argonauts are 20-6 on the year after sweeping through the Gulf South Conference regular-season and tournament titles. UWF is making its 25th consecutive NCAA appearance, which includes national championships in 2004, 2005, 2014, and 2017.
 
The winners of the 16 regional tournaments will advance to the NCAA DII Men's Tennis Championships in Altamonte Springs, Fla., May 18-22.
