ROUND TWO RESULTS & LIVE SCORING

VALDOSTA, Ga. – The UWF men's golf team shot a 1-under-par 287 and is within three shots of the top six teams following second round play at the NCAA South/Southeast Regional Championship at Kinderlou Forest Golf Course.

UWF was among a group of nine teams in the 20-team field that was able to complete its Friday round. Play was suspended twice due to weather delays and more than half the field was unable to finish before darkness hit. As a result, those competitors will resume their rounds at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday. The ones that finished, will start their third round at 7:30 a.m.

Patrick Poate fired a 2-under-par 70 for the second-consecutive day, moving him into a tie for 11th place at 140. Elias Haavisto was up and down with birdies and bogeys on succesive holes throughout the day, finishing with a 74. He is tied for 43rd at 144.

Carlos Marrero bogeyed the third hole and made birdies at 11 and 14 on his way to a 71. He is now tied for 53rd at 74-71=145. Felipe Garces made a team-high five birdies in the second round but also made five bogeys to shoot 72. Cameron Bonner signed for a 78 and ran his 36-hole score to 148.

Barry took over the top spot with a 282 on Friday, posting a 17-under-par 559 thus far. Limestone is two shot back but still has the majority of the back nine to play to close out the second round. West Georgia and Barton are currently in third and fourth, respectively but have 9-12 holes remaining from the second round and the third round remaining on Saturday.

Following Saturday's final round, the top six teams and top two individuals not on those six will advance to the NCAA Championships.
