HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The University of West Florida Women's Cross Country Team finished sixth out of 13 teams on Saturday at the GSC Championships at John Hunt Park in Huntsville, Alabama.

Lee took home the team win as all five runners finished in the top eight, with Mississippi College and Alabama Huntsville placing second and third.  Aria Hawkins, a junior from Lee, won the meet with a mark of 17:08.40.

For the Argonauts, it was once again
Chloe Rook who took the top spot on the team with a time of 18:12, placing her 13
th overall in the field.  The 18:12 is the sixth fastest 5K time in school history, and Chloe becomes the first runner since Alyssa Granberg in 2021 to be named to second-team All-GSC.

Ava Baldauf took a mark of 19:08.10 to place 28
th while
Skylar Grant pushed to a time of 19:44.10 and putting her at 44
th overall, placing three Argonauts in the top-50 overall.

Sophomore,
Julia Alvarez Drago, placed 57
th with a time of 20:15.60 with freshmen,
Olivia Noack and
Ambrea Hobbs, completing the meet with marks of 21:07.60 and 21:11.10, respectively.

Kristen Bouington,
Tatum Salter and
Avery Miller rounded out the group for UWF by finishing 75
th, 84
th and 92
nd, respectively.

UWF will be back in action at the NCAA South Region Championships on November 4
th in Montevallo, Alabama.
