PENSACOLA, Fla.- The No. 18 West Florida Men's Tennis team gears up to face a top-ranked No. 2 Saint Leo team. First set is to begin at 2 p.m. (EST) at the VSU Tennis Courts.

ABOUT UWF
*The Argos are 6-1 overall and 4-1 in conference play on the season. UWF is 2-0 from neutral sites on the season.
*The Argos currently rank No. 18 in the recent ITA Coaches Poll released on March 8. Tomas Descarrega and Facundo Bermejo rank No. 3 in the nation as a pair. The duo is a perfect 5-0 from the No. 1 position.
*Tomas Descarrega and Sebastian Rondon swept the Gulf South Conference weekly awards. Descarrega won the award after defeating nationally ranked No. 20 Diego Gonzalez from No. 10 Lynn. He is ranked No. 41 in singles with a 5-1 record.
*Freshman Rondon earned his first GSC honors as he is 4-0 overall and 3-0 in conference play from the No. 6 position.
*Bermejo and Mateo Martinez rank No. 38 and No. 57, respectively in the ITA national singles ranking.

ABOUT SLU
*The top-ranked Lions are undefeated with an 11-0 record with a 5-0 record in neutral sites.
*The Lions have four athletes ranked nationally in singles with Tao Castillo, Ivan Marrero, Vincent Thiel, and Martin Soukal.
*Soukal is 9-0 in singles from the No. 2 position for the Lions. Marrero leads the Lions in singles as the No. 1 as he is 9-0.
*The Lions defeated Indy 4-1 to be crowned the ITA National Indoor Champions in February. 

UWF vs. SLU History
*In the overall series record, the Argos have a 5-4 edge over the Lions. Last season, the Argos lost a heartbreaker to the Lions 4-3. In doubles, the Argos dominated and won the lone point with Descarrega and Bermejo leading the charge.
