PENSACOLA, Fla.- No. 13 West Florida men's tennis faces Gulf South Conference opponent Montevallo this weekend at the Ralph "Skeeter" Carson Tennis Complex. Saturday's contest will begin at 1 p.m.
ABOUT UWF
*The Argos are coming off a 6-1 win over No. 17 North Georgia on Tuesday afternoon. West Florida sits at 2-1 against nationally ranked opponents including UNG and Lynn. On their home courts, the Argos are undefeated 2-0.
*In the GSC standings, UWF is fifth behind Valdosta State. The Argos are 7-2 overall and 4-1 in conference play.

Tomas Descarrega and
Facundo Bermejo rank No. 2 in the ITA National Doubles ranking as the pair is 6-1 overall from the No. 1 spot. Junior Bermejo is ranked No. 37 in singles action in the most recent ITA national polls, while Descarrega comes in at No. 44 midway through his junior season.

Sebastian Rondon leads the team with six dual singles wins in his rookie year. Freshman
Santiago Kearney holds six singles victories from the No. 4 and No. 5 position. In addition,
Mateo Martinez is 4-2 overall on the season.
SCOUTING THE FALCONS
*The Falcons bring a 2-5 record into Saturday's contest with a recent win against Christian Brothers 6-1 on Saturday, March 11.
*Montevallo sits in seventh in the GSC standings with a 2-2 conference record. Rookie Viktor Ek Johansson earned GSC Player of the Week on March 1 after he went 1-2 singles record with a win in No. 6 singles over Masumi Komada from Georgia College.
*In their most recent match, the Falcons nearly took down No. 32 Mississippi College but ultimately fell 4-3 to the Choctaws.
UWF VS. UM HISTORY
*Saturday's contest will mark the eighth face off between these two programs. The Argos earned their seventh consecutive win against the Falcons last March with the UWF sweeping Montevallo 7-0.
