PENSACOLA, Fla.- Two nationally ranked teams will go head-to-head as No. 8 West Florida and No. 10 Lynn prepare to compete on Friday morning for what will be a great match of Division II Men's Tennis.
The first set is slated for 11:00 a.m. (EST) at the VSU Tennis Courts in Valdosta, Ga.
ABOUT UWF
The Argonauts are on a roll. UWF was unbeaten in three matches last week.
West Florida is 4-1 overall and 3-1 in conference play.
Junior
Tomas Descarrega was named Gulf South Conference Player of the Week.
The standout from Rosario, Argentina is 3-1 in singles as UWF's No. 1.

Facundo Bermejo team up as the No. 1 pair for the Argos. They are a perfect 3-0. The duo is ranked No. 3 nationally, and No. 2 in the South Region in the latest ITA Coaches Poll.
Bemejo is ranked nationally at No. 27 and No. 6 in the South Region in singles.
ABOUT LYNN
The No. 10 Fighting Knights are 4-1 to start the 2023 season. Their only loss came against No. 1 Barry.
Lynn returns six athletes from a Sunshine State Championship regular season championship roster last season. The Fight Knights finished last season fourth in the SCC Tournament with a 4-2 loss to No. 2 seeded Embry-Riddle.
Diego Gonzalez leads the charge for Lynn as he plays from the No. 1 position in singles with a 2-1 record. The senior is nationally ranked at No. 17 in the South Region.
Gonzalez teams with Gianmarco Amatiste in doubles play. The pair is 3-1 from the No. 2 position. The duo is ranked nationally at No. 18, and No. 4 in the South Region.

UWF is 6-3 against Lynn.
The Argonauts and Fighting Knights last matched up in 2022, with Lynn taking away a 4-2 win.
