OXFORD, Ala. – The West Florida women's cross country team took home a fifth-place finish at the Foothills Invitational, hosted by Jacksonville State, on Friday night.
Auburn finished first in the 4K, followed by Samford, UAB, Troy, with West Florida rounding out the top five.
West Florida will return to action on September 9
th at the UNA Invitational in Florence, Alabama. Auburn had the top five finishers in the meet, with Mary Mac Collins posting a 14:10.10 mark to lead all finishers.
Chloe Rook paced the Argonauts with a 14:51.10 while
Ava Baldauf had a strong showing, finishing in 15:20.10.
Julia Alvarez Drago claimed a top-40 finish with a 15:36.40 while junior,
Skylar Grant, posted a 16:16 mark.
Freshmen,
Olivia Noack and
Ambrea Hobbs, ran times of 16:22 and 17:34 in their first collegiate meets, while returners,
Tatum Salter,
Avery Miller and
Kristen Bouington all claimed marks under 17:49.80.
UWF will be back on the course on September 9
th at the UNA Invitational in Florence, Alabama.
