BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – For the second time this season, Chloe Rook was named the Gulf South Conference Runner Of The Week, the conferenced announced on Wednesday morning.
 
It is the second award for Chloe in the last three weeks after she earned the nomination for finishing second, and first among all Division II competitors at the UNA Invitational on September 9^th.  This is also Rook's fifth award from the league as she was named GSC Freshman Of The Week three different times in 2022.
 
The sophomore from Panama City Beach, Florida won the individual title at the Argonaut Invitational 5K last Friday morning with a time of 19:19.2, becoming the only competitor in the field with a time under 20 minutes.
 
Rook's performance propelled the Argonauts to win the team title at the event as well, marking the first team victory for UWF since September 24, 2021.
 
Chloe and West Florida will be back in action next Friday in Tallahassee, Florida for the FSU Invitational.  The meet begins at 8:15 AM ET/7:15 AM CT.
