ALBANY, Ga. – The University of West Florida men's golf team took second place at the Hurricane Invitational on Tuesday held at Doublegate Country Club.
 
UWF shot 844 (-20) in the three-round tournament. The Argos went three-under in the first round, seven-under in the second and concluded the tournament with a 10-under third round.

Per Ekelund had the second-best individual score of the tournament with a nine-under par, 207, just one shot behind leader Jack Vajda from North Georgia. Ekelund shot a 69 (-3) in each of his rounds to lead the Argos. The sophomore posted eagles on No. 13 in the first round and No. 4 in the second round.

The top four scoring players for the Argos all shot under par after totaling the three rounds with only one player shooting over par in any given round.
