PENSACOLA, Fla. - UWF (1-2) enters the GSC slate fresh off a seventh place finish in the 2024 ITA Division II National Men's Team Indoor Championship. After playing three teams ranked in the top 10 of the national poll, the Argos will look to improve their record with two conference opponents ranked in the top 25, as they take on No. 13 Lee (2-1, 1-0 GSC) tomorrow at 10 am at the Ralph "Skeeter" Carson Tennis Complex before going on the road to take on No. 24 Mississippi College (5-0) on Wednesday, February 28, at 1 pm.

Lee comes to town in first place in the conference standings as it owns a 6-1 win over 1-5 Delta State. Mississippi College is in seventh place as it has not played a conference match yet, but the Choctaws own wins over two nationally ranked teams in No. 12 UT Tyler and No. 23 Ouachita Baptist as well as one over D1 Jackson State.

The Flames finished 2023 with a 14-5 overall record and a 6-3 mark in conference play to finish fifth in the GSC. They have the No. 17 player in the ITA Preseason South Region Singles Rankings in Francisco Fauria and are coached by 10th-year head man Patric Hynes. UWF owns a 9-1 record in contests with the Flames, as Lee topped the Argos in their previous meeting in Cleveland, Tenn., last season, coming out on top with a hard-fought 4-3 win.Â

The Choctaws came in at No. 6 in the final GSC standings last season, with a 10-9 overall record and a 4-5 mark in league play. MC has the No. 28 player in the ITA Preseason Singles Rankings and No. 10 in the regional singles rankings in freshman Alex Benichou Blanchard. The Choctaws are led by second-year head coach Michael Ward. UWF owns a perfect 12-0 record over them, with the most recent meeting ending in a 5-2 win last season in Pensacola.  Â
