VALDOSTA, Ga. – The 18th-ranked UWF men's golf team posted a 4-under-par, 284, to close out the Southeastern Collegiate in ninth place at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club on Tuesday.
The Argonauts moved up two spots in the team standings on the last day, helping them to their sixth top-10 finish in seven events this season.
Sophomore
Cooper Tendick registered an 11th-place final standing at 71-71-72=214, making a team-best 12 birdies this week.
Freshman T.J. Thompson was a model of consistency with 37 pars as he had his best event as an Argo, posting a 73-74-72=219 to stand 34th after 54 holes.
Junior
Ethan Unverzagt played steady golf with a 74-73-73=220 total for a tie for 41st place. Sophomore
Jack Burbee's 5-under-par 67 was the low round of the day among the 90 competitors as he finished in 50th position at 79-76-67=222.
Freshman
Per Ekelund ended the tournament with a 228 score.
Junior
Fabian Wennerlof was competing as an individual only and turned in two under-par rounds with a 71 on Tuesday to tie for 17th overall at 71-74-71=216.
UWF will return to action next week at the Bobcat Invitational, hosted by Georgia College on Monday and Tuesday at the Golf Club at Cuscowilla in Eatonton, Georgia.
