HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – UWF men's cross country set multiple personal records and season best times in their showing at the UAH Chargers Invitational at John Hunt Park in Huntsville, AL on Saturday morning.
Grant Chastain was the top finisher for the Argos Saturday, placing 49
th out of 285 runners with a personal record of 25:35 in the men's 8K. The Argos finished 14
th out of 26 teams and finished ahead of GSC teams Christian Brothers and Valdosta State.
Carson King placed 68
th overall with a 25:53.7 final to place 68
th at the meet, running his second fastest 8K of the season.
Xander McLaughlin placed 80
th with a 26:02.9 final time, running a personal record 8K time in the process.
Nathan Deboutez ran a season best 26:52.2 in his race, placing 124
th. Freshman
Preston Cooper finished 158
th with a final of 27:18.7
Parker Nunley placed 192
nd with a 28:06.7 time.
Jack Tyner rounded out the day for the Argos with a 29:26.2 final to place 226.
