Pensacola, Fla. – Six Argos were recognized with Gulf South Conference (GSC) yearly awards, highlighting another successful regular season for the program.
Four Argos – Joao Ribero, Jonas Grauer, Rafael Machado, and Nikolas Rodriguez – were named to the First Team All-GSC, while goalkeeper Tomas Valles Gilbert and forward Manu Bernabeu earned Second Team All-GSC honors.
Ribero, and Grauer standout defenders, anchored the Argos' attack with creativity and precision starting all 16 games. Grauer a freshman with 2 goals and 1 assist on the season. Machado proved vital in maintaining stability, tied for first in the GSC for assists with 9 on the season and 3 goals. Rodriguez another vital midfielder scored 1 goal and 1 assist.
In goal, Tomas Valles showcased his reliability and shot-stopping ability, contributing multiple key saves during conference play and 8 shutouts. Bernabeu, meanwhile, provided offensive spark and crucial goals that helped the Argos through the season. He averages 1 goal a game with 10 goals on the season in 10 games that he has played.
The six All-GSC selections mark another strong showing for West Florida, reinforcing the program's status as one of the Gulf South Conference's top teams. The Argos will play next on Sunday at 12:30 against West Alabama for the first round of the GSC tournament.
