EATONTON, Ga. – TJ Thompson posted two 68's (-2) on his scorecard to lead him to his first ever collegiate individual win at the Bobcat Invitational. Thompson finished at four-under for the tournament. The Argos placed second overall as a team just two shots behind winner North Georgia with a team score of 843 (+3).

In the third round Thompson started the round strong with four birdies in the first five holes. After birdying hole No.15 to go four under for the round, Thompson closed with bogeys on No. 17 and 18, but was able to hang onto the overall lead. The sophomore posted a two under in the first round and went even par in the second round.

UWF was the only team to shoot under par in the first round given the windy conditions on the course. The Argos were one-under after round one and were four strokes up on North Georgia.

The second round slowed the Argos down with a team score of seven over. Eddie Lee led the team in the round with a 68 (-2). He was the only under par score for the Argos that round.

Cooper Tendick had had a crucial 67 (-3) in the third round to help seal the victory for UWF. Tendick had struggled to get going in the first two rounds, posting a +4 and +5 in the first rounds. The junior birdied par 3 - hole No. 11 and then eagled hole No. 12.

West Florida has now placed top three in seven of their eight tournaments this season and are currently ranked No. 3 in the nation.

UWF will be back at home in Pensacola for their next tournament on April 7th and 8th. The team will play the Argonaut Invitational at Pensacola Country Club.
