TEMPE, Az. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association released their lists of All-Americans for both men's and women's tennis Wednesday. UWF players were featured on both teams, with men's tennis receiving honors for singles and doubles play and women's tennis receiving honors for doubles.
Representing the Argos for men's singles were
Miguel Cabrera and
Sebastian Rondon. Rondon earned honors in both All-America categories, earning the nod as an All-American in doubles with
Diego Duran. It is the first All-America honor for UWF in doubles and singles since 2022. It is also the first of Cabrera, Duran, and Rondon's careers.
Rondon and Duran went 14-9 as a doubles pair in 2025. Rondon went 16-4 in singles play over the season. Cabrera finished with the best singles record on the team in 2025 at 17-3.
For UWF women's tennis,
Sandra Recuenco and
Carlota Verdu earned All-America doubles honors for the first time in their careers. The tandem went 14-7 in doubles play together in 2025. They are the first Argos to earn All-American honors in doubles since
Sara Yigin and
Berta Bonardi in 2021.
Cabrera, Duran, and Rondon all made GSC All-Conference teams for the men. Recuenco and Verdu also made the GSC All-Conference teams for the women. Verdu was also named a CSC Academic All-American earlier Tuesday.
