Sotelo Earns Place on CSC Academic All-America Teams

The graduate student earns Second Team Academic All-American Honors

AUSTIN, Tex. – UWF men's tennis graduate player Sebastian Sotelo is being honored for his achievements both on and off the court, as the Argentina native has been named a CSC Second Team Academic All-American.
 
Sotelo is a currently earning his MBA with a Finance emphasis. He earned a 4.0 for the spring semester in addition to earning Second Team All-GSC honors. He also earned a spot on the CSC Academic All-District team for UWF Tennis.
 
Sebastian carried a 19-3 singles record through the 2025 season. He finished with a combined 17-4 doubles record paired up with Tomas Leston, Albin Ekenros and Denilso Martinez.
 
Academic All-American is a title reserved for college student-athletes who perform at an elite level in their chosen sport and in the classroom. The all-time list of 42,000+ Academic All-Americans includes major sports stars and some of the world's most accomplished individuals in medicine, business, science and the arts. Established in 1952 and selected by College Sports Communicators, Academic All-America is the longest running and premier award for athletic and academic success across championship college sports at all NCAA levels, the NAIA, two-year colleges and Canadian institutions. Teams are announced year round and amplified by CSC member colleges, universities, and conferences on a wide local, regional, national, and even international scope.
