GREENSBORO, NC. – Zack Stokes and
Micky Scheetz were named to the ABCA/Rawlings Division II All-America teams, the organization announced Friday. Stokes earned Second Team honors, while Scheetz was selected to the Third Team.
The ABCA/Rawlings All-America teams are selected by members of the ABCA All-America committees. Only student-athletes named to the ABCA/Rawlings All-Region First Team are eligible for All-America honors.
Stokes adds another national honor to one of the most decorated seasons in recent history. The graduate outfielder led the Argonauts in batting average, hits, runs, doubles, home runs, total bases, walks, slugging percentage and on-base percentage during the 2026 campaign. He started all 59 games for UWF, batting .447 with 97 hits, 76 runs, 25 doubles, 14 home runs, 45 RBI and 164 total bases. Stokes also posted a .756 slugging percentage, a .552 on-base percentage, 10 stolen bases and a .994 fielding percentage in the outfield.
His ABCA/Rawlings All-America honor adds to a resume that also includes ABCA/Rawlings All-South Region First Team, NCBWA Second Team All-America, NCBWA South Region Player of the Year, NCBWA All-South Region First Team, D2CCA South Region Player of the Year, D2CCA All-South Region First Team, Gulf South Conference Player of the Year and All-GSC First Team honors.
Scheetz earns Third Team All-America recognition after anchoring the back end of the UWF bullpen throughout the season. The redshirt senior lefty appeared in 31 games, posting a 3-2 record with a 1.53 ERA and 16 saves across 47 innings pitched. Scheetz struck out 46 batters while allowing just eight earned runs and no home runs.
Scheetz also adds the ABCA/Rawlings honor to a decorated postseason that includes ABCA/Rawlings All-South Region First Team, NCBWA First Team All-America, NCBWA All-South Region First Team, D2CCA All-South Region First Team and All-GSC First Team selections.
As a team, West Florida closed the season with a 43-16 overall record, including a 21-12 mark in Gulf South Conference play. The Argonauts hit .309 as a team, held opponents to a .261 batting average and finished the year with a 3.97 team ERA. UWF won the NCAA South Region #1 tournament and hosted the NCAA South Super Regional.
