UWF Women's Soccer Team Locked at No. 2

Kansas City, Ks. -- The University of West Florida women's soccer team secured the No. 2 spot in the latest NSCAA Division II Top 25 poll for the third straight week on Tuesday. Despite having a dominating performance over Gulf South Conference opponent Christian Brothers on Saturday, the Lady Argos were unable to impact the polls and jump top ranked Grand Valley State.

The only match of the week for the Argos came against Christian Brothers in the GSC home opener at Brosnaham Park. Trailing by one midway through the first half, Shaneka Gordon (Old Harbour, Jamaica/Community College of Baltimore) tied it up with her 12th goal of the season and the Argos never looked back. Noha Saleh (Wellington, Fla./Nova Southeastern) added a goal in the second half before Gordon tacked on two more to complete her second straight hat trick to give the Argos a 4-1 victory.

The Lady Argos remain at home this weekend and will host Alabama-Huntsville in the Homecoming Game Friday night at 5pm CT at the UWF Soccer Complex. They will host Delta State on Sunday at 12:30pm CT to wrap up the weekend.
