BOX SCORE PENSACOLA, Fla. – The No. 4-ranked University of West Florida men's tennis team defeated NCAA Division I opponent Eastern Kentucky 5-2 at home on Sunday afternoon. West Florida (10-0, 5-0 GSC) swept the doubles competition en route to its 10th straight win to start the season.

Kenny Brasil (Apucarana, Brazil) and junior
Alex Peyrot (Castelnaudary, France) improved to 10-0 on the year by defeating Alex Alvaro and Diego Asis 6-2 at number one doubles.

Juan Pablo Boada (La Paz, Bolivia) and junior
Pedro Roese (Novo Hamburgo, Brazil) improved to 8-2 on the year by defeating Ramon van Flymen and Indra Patwardhan 6-3 at number two doubles.
Senior
Pablo Borrero (Pereira, Colombia) and junior
Pablo Tellez (Bogota, Columbia) defeated Guillem Sanchis and Sebastian Mueller 6-2 at number three doubles.
No. 11 Peyrot remained unbeaten by defeating van Flymen 6-3, 6-7, 6-1 at number one singles while Boada came back from a first set loss to defeat Alvaro 2-6, 7-6, 6-3 at number two singles.
No. 22 Brasil defeated Sanchis 6-4, 5-7, 7-5 at number three singles while junior
Douglas Boe (Vinhedo, Brazil) improved to 9-0 on the year by defeating Florian Graskamp 7-5, 6-4 at number six singles.
Sophomore
Sebastian Sanchez (Bogota, Colombia) fell to Mueller 6-0, 5-7, 5-7 at number four singles while Borrero fell to Diogo Soares 4-6, 5-7 at number five singles.
UWF will face four Sunshine State Conference teams on the road over the next week. No. 4 West Florida will face No. 7 Saint Leo on Tuesday, March 15 at 10 a.m. before facing Embry Riddle on Wednesday, March 16 at 2 p.m. The Argos will face Florida Southern on Friday, March 18 at 2 p.m. before wrapping up the road trip on Saturday, March 19 against No. 26 Rollins at 10 a.m.
