UWF enters the game having won eight of its last 10 games and previously beat Spring Hill on Feb. 24 2016 by a score of 3-2.
BROWN NAMED GSC FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK: After two dominating performances last week, LHP
Troy Brown garnered UWF's second GSC Freshman of the Week honor in 2016... Brown threw three shutout innings against Stillman in his second start of the season, before throwing another 3.1 innings of shutout baseball against North Alabama on Sunday in a relief appearance... Over the week, Brown combined for 6.1 innings pitched with 11 strikeouts and a 0.00 ERA while surrendering just one walk and two hits.
ARGOS RECEIVE VOTES IN COLLEGIATE BASEBALL POLL: After being ranked No. 39 in Collegiate Baseball Newspaper's preseason rankings, the Argonauts found themselves receiving votes in the poll and stand No. 32 nationally... UWF's highest CBN ranking in 2015 was No. 25.
ARGOS SWEEP UNA IN SATURDAY DOUBLE HEADER: North Alabama, who ranked seventh in the South Region according to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Assocation, had some fits against UWF last Saturday as UWF would beat UNA in both games by scores of 9-2 and 4-3...
Walker O'Connor earned his fourth win of the season in game one, allowing two earned runs over 6.2 innings pitched... O'Connors consecutive innings streak of not allowing an earned run was snapped at 27 innings in game one...
Brandon Nagem earned the win in game two, after his best performance of the 2016 season with a 3.2 innings of shutout relief with seven strikeouts and one hit...

Nic Strasser has hit leadoff for the Argonauts in 13 of 18 games this season, and UWF is 10-3 in those contests... Despite hitting in the leadoff spot, Strasser has been UWF's main RBI threat, as he leads the team with four home runs and 19 RBI... Strasser's four stolen bases is second on the team... Strasser's 19 RBI is the ninth most in the conference and ranks in the country's top 70.
USING THE LONG BALL: After 15 home runs in all 48 games in 2015, UWF needed just 17 games to pass that mark in 2016... UWF's 2015 team had only two players with more than one home run, being

GOING GREENE: Alex Greene has hit safely in all 14 games he has played in this year, giving him the longest hitting streak since Greg Pron posted a 16-game hitting streak in 2011... Greene's previous career-long hitting streak was five games... Greene is the sixth UWF player since the start of the 2012 season to record a hitting streak of at least 10 games.
GSC'S BEST: UWF's 2.49 team ERA marks as the best in the conference, and although early in the season, if the Argonauts were to maintain their current pace, it would be the third best team ERA in Gulf South Conference history... Delta State's 1974 team currently owns the GSC record, having a team ERA of 2.20... West Florida's 2014 team posted the third best ERA in GSC history, as the pitching staff posted a 2.50 ERA.

Pensacola native Alex Jones leads the Badgers with six home runs and 23 RBI... William Floros leads the team with a .429 average... As a team, the Badgers are hitting .307 and have a 4.98 ERA.
SERIES HISTORY VS. SPRING HILL: A long-time opponent of UWF baseball, the Argonauts have had sustained success against the Badgers, winning 45 of 59 (45-14) matchups...
