2017 SCHEDULE
PENSACOLA, Fla. – The University of West Florida men's soccer team has announced its 2017 schedule on Monday. The 16-game slate features eight games at the UWF Soccer Complex and eight road games and 10 Gulf South Conference contests.
The Argonauts open their season hosting two nonconference foes, with Tampa on Friday, Sept. 1, and Flagler on Sunday, Sept. 3. UWF's first away game falls on Friday, Sept. 8, as team travels to Rollins College in Winter Park, Fla.
In what is sure to be an exciting start to the GSC schedule, UWF travels to West Alabama for a night game that features a rematch of the previous two GSC Tournament finals on Friday, Sept. 15. Staying in Alabama, the Argonauts travel to Alabama Huntsville on Sunday, Sept. 17.
After the three-game stretch on the road, the Argonauts continue GSC play with Mississippi College on Friday, Sept. 22, and Delta State the on Sunday, September 24, in Pensacola. On Sept. 28, UWF hosts NAIA counterpart Mobile to wrap up the homestand before heading south to take on Saint Leo on Sunday, Oct. 1.

Bill Elliott takes his team north to Rome, Georgia, to face Shorter on Friday Oct. 6, before traveling to Lee in Cleveland, Tenn. on Oct. 8. Both Shorter and Lee made it to the GSC Tournament in 2016.
After a weeklong break, UWF will host Spring Hill in a midafternoon game on Sunday, October 18. UWF heads to Tennessee for the schedule's last regular season road trip, playing Christian Brothers on Friday, Oct. 20, and Union on Sunday Oct. 22.
The Argonauts will close out the regular season at home getting a look at a pair of GSC newcomers for the 2017 season. The team will take on Auburn Montgomery on Thursday, Oct. 26, and Montevallo, on Saturday, Oct. 28.
The top six teams in the GSC regular season standings will make the postseason tournament, with the top two teams receiving a first-round bye. The first round of the GSC Tournament, which features No. 3 vs. No. 6 and No. 4 vs. No. 5 matchups, will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 31 at the higher seeds facility. The semifinals and finals will be hosted at Emory Flomar YMCA Soccer Complex in Montgomery, Alabama, and will take place on Friday, Nov. 3, and Sunday, Nov., 5.
