PENSACOLA, Fla. – The UWF men's and women's tennis teams will open a 3-match weekend on a national stage at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, beginning Friday night with a video streamed match against Rollins. The match is scheduled to start at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
The facility, which opened a year ago in the Lake Nona portion of Orlando, features 100 lighted tennis courts, including 12 specifically tailored for collegiate tennis. The Argonauts will take on the Tars before facing Embry-Riddle on Saturday and Florida Southern on Sunday.
The UWF Men's and Women's teams enter this matchup unbeaten with 5-0 records. Both Rollins tennis programs are ranked at No. 8 in the region. The Rollins women's program has a 4-2 record so far, while the Rollins men are 1-3.
The Argonaut women have not lost to Rollins since 2014, when they dropped a close 5-4 result. The men's team will be facing Rollins for the first time in three years when they won 7-2 in 2015.
