BIRMINGHAM, Ala.– UWF men's golf junior Harry Butler was named the Gulf South Conference Golfer of the Month for March by the league on Thursday.
 
Butler posted a 71.41 stroke average across 12 rounds in four tournaments to secure the honor. He had three top-10 finishes, including a win at the Las Vegas Desert Classic with a 12-under-par 204 total.
 
The Mars Hill transfer from Chigwell, England has a 73.26 season average with four rounds in the 60s and 12 rounds at par or better.
 
The third-ranked UWF men's team will be in action Sunday through Tuesday at the GSC Championships. This Argonauts are the top seed in the 10-team field and will be paired with Lee and Montevallo in the firs round. The event will be contested at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail's Magnolia Grove complex in Mobile, Ala. The men's tournament will be on the Crossings Course and the women's tournament will be on the Falls Course.
