FULL RESULTS
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The University of West Florida women's cross country program put together another strong team effort on Saturday morning at the UAH Cross Country Invitational, finishing 23rd in a talented field. The Argonauts were also third among Gulf South Conference teams at the meet.
UWF finished ahead of conference foes Delta State, West Georgia, Union, Auburn Montgomery, Christian Brothers, and Montevallo in the meet.
Chloe Rook led UWF again, with a 19:03.90, while
Sophia Spalding (19:07.60) and
Leah Fenton (19:23.00) were close behind.
Skylar Grant put in a 19:36.70, putting four Argonauts within 33 seconds of each other.
Freshman
Julia Alvarez Drago clocked a 20:38.70, and
Julianne Dennison ran a 21:05.50. Freshman
Kristen Bouington ran a 21:30.80 in the 5K, and
Avery Miller rounded out the lineup at 23:07.20.
UWF will make the trip to Montevallo, Alabama, for the Gulf South Conference Championships on Saturday, November 5.
