DAVIE, Fla. – The 44th-ranked UWF women's golf team turned in a 312 on the second day of the NCAA Women's Golf South Regional at Grande Oaks Golf Club on Tuesday.
UWF moved two spots down to 11th place at 617 with 18 holes remaining in the team's first regional appearance since 2017. No. 5 Anderson moved into first place at 589, followed by No. 3 Limestone, who turned in the low round of the tournament at 289 for a 591 36-hole score. No. 4 Nova Southeastern and No. 16 Saint Leo are tied for third place at 598, followed a shot back by No. 6 Barry. The top five teams after Wednesday's third round will advance to the NCAA Championships.
UWF played both nines at 14-over-par with sophomore
Payton Pacheco's two on the par 3, 11th, the lone birdie for the team on the day. The Argonauts had three scores in the 70s but also had to count a round of 82.
Junior
Solange Gomez is still the top placing UWF player through two rounds, sitting tied for 27th at 151.
