DAVIE, Fla. – The 44th-ranked UWF women's golf team shot their lowest round of the week with a 303 to finish in 11th place on the final day of the NCAA Women's Golf South Regional at Grande Oaks Golf Club on Wednesday.

The Argonauts made 10 birdies which were the third-most in the field today. UWF shot a 920 for the 54-hole tournament and ended the season with a 308.6 stroke average – the fifth lowest in program history.

Solange Gomez, junior
Ronja Taipale and freshman
Alia Scotka all shot rounds in the mid 70s to lead the Argos on Wednesday.

Gomez completed the tourney tied for 27th place with a 74-77-75=226. Taipale matched Gomez's opening round 74 as the low score of the week for UWF.

Taipale made three birdies on the back nine and was 1-under-par through 13 holes before holing out for four bogeys down the stretch. She tied for 32nd at 78-76-74=228. She played the par 3s at 1-over-par for the week and the par 5s at even.

Scotka finished her rookie season with a 82-77-74=233 to place her in 53rd position. Her 76.22 stroke average this season established a new freshman record at UWF, supplanting Gomez's 76.6 from three years ago as the top mark.

Alegria Lopez finished 61st at 76-82-80=234, while sophomore
Payton Pacheco ended the three rounds in 64th at 76-86-80=243. Pacheco joined Taipale with five birdies each to lead UWF in its first regional appearance since 2017.
