PENSACOLA, Fla - The #8 UWF Women's Swimming Team is traveling to Montevallo, Alabama for a mid-week matchup against the Montevallo Falcons tomorrow at 1pm. The ranked Argos will compete in a dual matchup for their day trip on the road.
About UWF
The nationally ranked Argos got their season off to a strong start as they have gone 4-2, with their only two losses to quality division one programs of Florida State and Tulane. However, the Argos have knocked some D1 programs including North Florida. The Argos collected both swimmer and co-diver in the month of October as freshman
Sydney Lewis, and sophomore
Jade Fontenelle were recognized by the NSISC for their outstanding efforts in the month of October. Lewis and Fontenelle put up impressive feats to earn their recogniton.
About Montevallo
The Falcons head into the match 3-1 on the season. In a school record time of the 200 medley set just a week ago by Petra Cajkas, Hanna Perrson, Keara McGee, and Danielle Davis with a time of 1:53.17. Montevallo's strong core consists of multipe of the school record holders from the 200 medley race. Head Coach Aaron Mahaney enters his sixth year as head coach after joining the squad in 2018.
The Argonauts are 2-0 against the Falcons and are looking to continue their streak on Wednesday.
