PENSACOLA, Fla.- The No. 18 West Florida men's tennis team will be back on their home courts for their second home match of the season against No. 17 North Georgia. The first set will begin at 10 a.m. at the Ralph "Skeeter" Carson Tennis Complex.
ABOUT UWF
*The Argos are 6-2 overall and 4-1 in conference play with their only losses to No. 2 Saint Leo and Lee. West Florida is currently seated fifth in the Gulf South Conference standings.

Tomas Descarrega and
Facundo Bermejo have been unstoppable all season with a 6-0 record as a pair. In singles, Descarrega has been playing from the top spot for the Argos as he is 5-1 overall. Bermejo is playing well from the No. 2 position with a 4-1 record.
*Other standouts for the Argos have been newcomers
Sebastian Rondon and
Mateo Martinez. Rondon is 5-1 from the No. 6 position and Martinez 3-2 from the No. 3, No. 4, and No. 5 position.
ABOUT UNG
*The No. 17 Nighthawks are 5-2 as they enter into the spring season. Joaquin Benoit ranks nationally in singles as the No. 6 player in the country.
*In the Peach Belt Conference, Cole Brainard was named PBC Player of the Week in late February as he defeated Division I opponent Presbyterian in singles and doubles.
*Head coach Kent Norsworthy enters into 18
th season with the UNG men's and women's tennis teams. He took both teams to the NCAA Tournament in 2021 and 2022.
UWF vs. UNG History
*This marks only the second meeting between these two squads. In 2021, the Nighthawks were victorious 4-3 in a tight match. It will be another day of great Divison II men's tennis for both teams.
